Filming began on the 6th of the Korean MBC television drama, Nikkan Kekkon Daisakusen (The Great Japanese-Korean Wedding Operation) at the Kushida Shinto shrine in Fukuoka City. The story involves the courtship and wedding of a South Korean man from Busan and a Fukuoka woman studying in South Korea against their parents’ objections. It will be broadcast as a special program in South Korea on March 1, the date commemorating the start of an independence movement on the Korean Peninsula in 1919. Other filming will be done in Iizuka and locations in Fukuoka City. The program will be broadcast locally in April.
