Kumamoto Requests Self Refrain From Homecoming Residents

Kumamoto Prefecture announced requests for self-refrain on homecoming from outer regions. The prefectural governor, Ikuo Kabashima, explained in a press conference that such a request applies to residents of areas where the number of the new coronavirus infections per 100,000 population reaches 15 or more in the past seven days. As of Dec. 18, eleven prefectures, including Osaka, Tokyo, and Tokyo, meet the criterion. The prefecture also asks residents to refrain from traveling to those areas until Jan. 11, 2021.
