‘Ouendan’ (Japanese-style cheering squad) teams at Kyushu University, Kumamoto University, and Seinan Gakuin University are inspiring people with unique videos online. Started by the Kyoto University ouendan team, the nationwide project aims to cheer up people amidst the spread of the new coronavirus. Twenty-five participating teams posted videos in a relay while shouting encouragement and urging preventative measures such as handwashing in a lively manner. Source: Twitter
