Kyuden to Build Major Logistics Hub in Kitakyushu

Kyushu Electric Power has announced plans to construct a large-scale multi-tenant logistics facility in Kokura Minami Ward, Kitakyushu, as part of its business diversification efforts. The 30,000 m2 facility, scheduled for completion by summer 2027, will be located near the Kokura-Higashi IC on the Kyushu Expressway. This is Kyuden’s first logistics development project. The company cited Kitakyushu’s strong transport infrastructure—including expressways, ports, and an airport—and the city’s active push to become a logistics hub as key factors in the decision.
