On September 1, Kyushu Electric Power debuted a new forestry analysis service for local governments. By combining a drone-based forestry survey scheme and an AI-based analyzation system, the new service radically reduces forestry mapping workloads. Using this system, only three people are required for a single day to map a 10-hectare forest, while conventional schemes require five workers to work ten days to complete the same work.
