Kyuden to Develop Solid-State Batteries with Taiwan Firm

Kyushu Electric Power will partner with Taiwan’s ProLogium Technology to develop solid-state batteries for industrial use, aiming for mass production in FY2027. The batteries will offer improved efficiency and cold resistance, retaining 95% capacity at -30°C.

ProLogium will supply the battery cells while Kyushu Electric designs modules for equipment such as construction machinery. The companies will showcase their work at CES 2026. Development will involve local partners in Kitakyushu and Saga. Source: Kyushu Electric Power
