The oldest pipe organ in Kyushu, at the Seinan Gakuin Baptist Church in Fukuoka City, will be dismantled next month when the church is rebuilt. The organ was build in Virginia in the United States in 1914 and moved to its present location 48 years ago. It was also the first pipe organ in Kyushu in a public facility. Ichiro Odori, the pastor at the church, says a gathering of appreciation is planned, and has invited the public to attend.
