The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries released figures for the number of farm households that have applied for individual subsidies this fiscal year as of the end of June. The aggregate number for Kyushu was 204,559, and the amount paid has already exceeded the total for FY 2010. Kumamoto Prefecture had the most applications in the region with 40,122, while Nagasaki Prefecture had the least with 18,121.
