According to a report in the Nishinippon Shimbun this morning Fukuoka City has the highest number of facebook users in the Kyushu, Okinawa & Yamaguchi region with 36,720. However, viewed as a percentage of the respective total populations Okinawa ranks first with 27.85% registered followed by Beppu, Oita with 4.23%. Fukuoka City ranks eighth with 2.51 hooked up. The group who made the study attributed the high rankings of Okinawa and Beppu to the large numbers of American military and exchange students respectively.
