According to a recent survey, approximately one-fourth of companies in Kyushu and Okinawa understand the meaning of the SDGs and are working on them as of 2022. The latest survey conducted by the Fukuoka branch of Teikoku Databank found that 24.6% (229 out of 930) of the companies that responded had begun some SDGs programs. In comparison, another 29.0% also hope to work on them in the near future. Also, 64.3% experienced positive impacts of such efforts, including improved brand impression and employee motivation.
