Fukuoka City-based Jutaku Ryutsu Shimposha released the results of its survey of the Kyushu condominium market for 2009, which showed declines for both supply and sales. The supply of new condos in all seven prefectures fell 7.3% from the previous year to 7,237 units, while the number of contracts for unit sales fell 10.8% to 8,007. The economic downturn was cited as the reason for the declines.
