The Kyushu Economic Research Center released a report on the regional economic situation, in which the general index (Kyushu CI) for June rose for the first time in seven months. The monthly index for industrial production (reported by Kyushu Bureau of Economy: reference period of 2015 set as 100) reached 85.2, up by 0.9% compared to May. While the figure shows a gradual recovery from the new coronavirus impact, other businesses, including accommodations and restaurant businesses, remain low.
