Kyushu Electric Power announced that in the current fiscal year, it would increase by 1.5 yen to 11 yen the maximum unit price of wind power it purchases that has been generated by independent operators. This is the first time the company has increased its own purchase price. They also decided to ask for a deposit for all new contracts with these operators to prevent their cancellation for trivial reasons.
