Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc. announced on September 25 that it will develop a large-scale facility to produce hydroponic lettuce. The company will make an AI-controlled environment using an empty land inside its Buzen Power Plant. The target production of five tons per day will be one of the largest in the world.
