Kyushu Electric Power to Double Renewable Energy Sources by 2030

Kyushu Electric Power has announced that it will integrate its renewable energy business with Kyuden Mirai Energy in April of next year. The company plans to transfer two businesses, “geothermal power generation” and “hydroelectric power generation,” to its subsidiary Kyuden Mirai Energy. The move is intended to accelerate the development of renewable energy and increase the group’s renewable energy sources to approximately 5 million kilowatts, which is double the current amount, by 2030.
