Kyushu Electric Revenue Hits Record, Profit Fall

Kyushu Electric Power announced FY2024 consolidated revenue of ¥2.36 trillion, up 10.2% year-on-year, driven by increased demand during extreme weather. However, net profit fell 22.6% to ¥128.7 billion due to timing mismatches in fuel cost adjustments and fluctuating wholesale electricity prices. President Kazuhiro Ikebe stated the company is becoming financially stronger despite the challenges. Source: Kyushu Electric Power
