Kyushu Electric Power will be involved in the operation of China’s largest wind power generation plant to be located in the Mongol Autonomous Region, and which is expected to begin operation in 2010. They are now in final negotiations with the Chinese state-operated power conglomerate to create an operating company for the plant. Kyushu Electric is expected to invest more than 3 billion yen in the plant, which is planned to generate about 200,000 kW of power.
