Kyushu Electric Power had postponed issuing bonds to raise funds after the Fukushima nuclear accident, but announced their intention to resume issuing them this month. They will start with five-year notes with a 0.641% premium, and they expect to raise 50 billion yen. This is Kyushu Electric’s first issuance of debt instruments since December 2012, and their highest issue ever. They will be used for capital investment and the repayment of other bonds.
