Kyushu Electric to Start Pluthermal Generation in Mid-November

Kyushu Electric Power announced plans to start in mid-November pluthermal (plutonium thermal) power generation using mixed-oxide (MOX) fuel, which is based on uranium and plutonium extracted from spent nuclear fuel, at its #3 generator in Genkai-cho, Saga Prefecture.
