Moji Customs reports that exports from the Kyushu region (Kyushu and Yamaguchi and Okinawa prefectures) for the month of January plummeted 45.3% in value terms from the year-before period. This was the fourth consecutive year-on-year decline in the monthly statistics, and the sharpest decline since statistics started being kept in 1980. Imports also fell 44%, the third consecutive monthly decline in that category
