Kyushu Forms Offshore Wind Partnership

The Kyushu Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry announced a new regional partnership on June 23 to support the growth of the offshore wind sector. The Kyushu Offshore Wind Industry Promotion Partnership brings together six organizations, including Fukuoka Prefecture, Nagasaki Prefecture, Kitakyushu City, the Kyushu Economic Federation, and the GX Acceleration Agency. Members will work to strengthen supply chains, streamline administrative procedures, support companies establishing production facilities, and improve transport infrastructure linked to the industry. Additional local governments and related organizations are expected to join. The initiative will also support national strategic industry cluster programs and expand cooperation with the Kyushu Offshore Wind-Related Industry Network, which currently includes 161 companies, universities, and other organizations.
