On Apr. 22, FFG Venture Business Partners and GxPartners announced the establishment of a new fund to support startups in Fukuoka City. The joint organization is named Kyushu Open Innovation Fund and is funded by four influential local companies including Fukuoka Bank and Nishitetsu. It will continue to seek further funding from local companies with a plan to invest ¥1~2 billion during the first 10 years. The Fund will invest ¥5~30 million for each startup company based in Fukuoka. It will also provide consultations for business planning and organizing the company. Source: FFG News Release, 4/22/2019
