Kyushu regional banks have released their interim reports for the year, most of which downgraded their results projections due to falling stock prices that drove up the unrealized losses on their portfolios. Of the 17 Kyushu regional banks, 14 reported aggregate portfolio losses of more than 32 billion yen. These losses are at the same level as those reported by the megabanks.
