The Iwataya department store in the Tenjin district of Fukuoka City is holding the first-ever exhibit of cosmetics products created solely by Kyushu-based companies. Scheduled to run until the 30th, the exhibit features 50 different products from 10 companies in Fukuoka, Oita, and Kagoshima prefectures. Many of the products are for skin care, and use such local products as Japanese plums (ume) and the water from hot springs.
