Kyushu Semiconductor Expo Doubles in Scale

The second Kyushu Semiconductor Industry Exhibition opened on October 8 at Marine Messe Fukuoka, doubling in size from last year with nearly 400 exhibitors from Japan and abroad. The event showcased Kyushu’s expanding role in the global semiconductor sector, spurred by TSMC’s new plant in Kumamoto. Fukuoka-based firms presented innovations in facial recognition and sensor technologies, while companies from Taiwan and Korea joined the growing regional industry network. Organizers expect around 10,000 visitors over two days, with the next event planned for 2026 and an expanded venue lineup. Source: KBC
