The Japan Meteorological Agency announced their weather forecast for this summer. High temperatures are expected for eastern and western Japan, while the north will be hotter than average. Western Japan will see a normal level of rainfall during both the rainy season and summer, while lower levels of rain have been forecast for Okinawa and Amami. Western prefectures are also expected to see more sunshine than usual. Fukuoka is scheduled to have approximately 13 sunny days (40% more of sunshine) in June, increasing to nearly 16 sunny days in July, and 20 sunny days in August.
