Travel agencies throughout Kyushu are reporting that signs are appearing of a recovery in customer demand for overseas trips, buoyed in part by the appreciating yen. In addition to the destinations near Kyushu in Asia, tours to Hawaii and Europe are also popular. The companies are welcoming this trend after the summer travel business dropped last year over fears of influenza and two years ago due to the fuel surcharge.
