Kyushu Universities Launch Semiconductor Talent Program

Kumamoto University announced on December 10 that it would work with Kyushu University and Kyushu Institute of Technology to develop semiconductor talent amid rapid industry growth following TSMC’s expansion in the region. The three universities will join a five-year Ministry of Education program beginning in fiscal 2025. Kyushu University will create circuit-design training schemes with Tokyo Science University for rollout across Kyushu, while Kyutech will develop prototype fabrication and evaluation facilities.
