Kyushu University Begins Operation of “Ito” Super Computer

The Kyushu University Research Institute for Information Technology began full-scale operations of a super computer system called ITO. The technology can be used for high-speed calculations and for assisting in fields of research that require a large quantity of data to be processed, such as machine learning and data science. The 10.43-petaflop computer will be made available to researchers from outside the university.
