Kyushu’s First 4D Cinema Begins

Kyushu’s first 4D cinema experience will be launched by Korona Group in Kokura Cinema Complex, Kitakyushu this Saturday, Nov. 30. The high-tech cinema experience aims to ‘transport the audience into the movie as if they were really there’ and includes full seat movement and the release of bubbles, showers and even scents in sync with the movie. Tickets are ¥1,000 on top of general admission prices, and ¥300 on top of 3D movie admission. The Aichi based company will promote the exciting new technology to a broad market of all ages across the prefecture. 4D movies showing for the launch include Pacific Rim, Wild Speed –Euro Mission, and Zero Gravity. Kokura Cinema’s General Manager Mr. Ohara commented he hopes for ticket sales at the cinema to increase by 50%.
