Kyushu’s Industrial Production Declines in April Due to Auto Sector Slump

Kyushu’s industrial production index fell by 1.3% in April, marking the first decline in three months. The semiconductor sector experienced delayed orders, and a decrease in light vehicle production significantly impacted the overall index. Among 13 industries, six saw declines, with the electronic components sector down by 8.7% and transport machinery by 10.9%.
