The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport has released information detailing its concerns about the possibility of deep-seated landslides occurring throughout the country as a result of the recent heavy rains. The ministry considers Kyushu to be one of the areas most at risk. The area of greatest concern here is along the border between Kumamoto and Miyazaki prefectures.
