The 10 largest retailers and restaurant companies in Kyushu released their interim reports for the current fiscal year. While sales revenue fell for seven of those companies, including all three companies operating supermarkets, seven of the 10 also generated stronger profits. Three companies improved their current profit by cutting costs, and two swung from the red into the black.
