Watermen working in the Ariake Sea are reporting they are now harvesting large quantities of Takezaki crabs. There was a sharp decline in the amount of crabs taken in August due to the harmful effects of the red tide, but volume surged in the first week of September. The watermen say the harvest hasn’t been this good in several years, and is two to four times the normal amount.
