On the evening before Dontaku (5/2), a special opening ceremony with performances is held at the Fukuoka Kokusai Center in Hakata. The event is free but limited to 6,000 participants, with numbered tickets distributed in advance. Tickets are handed out from 4/24 (Wed.) 10:00~ at four locations in Fukuoka City: 1. Passage Hiroba, Elgala, Daimaru, 2. Fukuoka Chamber of Commerce & Industry, 3. RKB 1F Lobby, 4. Hakata Port Bayside Museum.
