Nishitetsu Auto Body Tech Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Nishinippon Railroad, is producing some very unique buses in its factory in Kiyama. Buses belonging to various companies are brought here for maintenance, renovation, and even for a drastic transformation. Each coach is transformed to order: examples include a luxurious bus for passengers of JR Kyushu’s luxury train Kyushu Seven Stars, buses to entertain (and of course, to protect) guests at a safari park, and also bi-articulated cars that can carry 130 people at a time.
