Massive Gorilla Scarecrow Cheers Up Locals

A massive gorilla-shaped scarecrow greets visitors to Yasunosato Park in Chikuzen Town. Locals built the 7-meter high straw gorilla to celebrate the town’s annual scarecrow festival. Organizers canceled the bazaar and stage programs to reduce the risk of spreading the new coronavirus; the powerful-looking scarecrow will be on display until January 2021 to cheer up local people. It is also lit up from 5 p.m. ~ 8 p.m. on 5, 15, and 25 each month. Source: Mainichi / RKB
