Kyudenko Corporation is collaborating with Kyocera Corporation (Kyoto) and four other companies to fund the development of a mega-solar plant in Nagasaki Prefecture. The group announced on April 28 that it would invest ¥50 billion to the project developed for Uku Island, one of the Goto Islands in Nagasaki Prefecture. The annual output of 515,000 megawatts (enough to supply 173,000 homes) would be sold to Kyushu Electric Power (Kyuden). The construction will start by the end of the fiscal year of 2020.
