Minimum Hourly Wage Rises 6-7 yen in Region
A group affiliated with the Miyazaki Labor Bureau conducted a survey of companies in the seven Kyushu prefectures to ask what their minimum hourly wage would be starting in October. The increase over the previous year is expected to be six to seven yen, slightly higher than the three to five yen rise last year. The highest hourly minimum wage was in Fukuoka Prefecture, which exceeded 700 yen for the first time.
