Mitsubishi Electric said it plans to build a new wing at its Fukuoka City plant for the design and manufacture of new power semiconductors with 10 times the capacity of the current models. They also will bring in semiconductor testing devices for prototypes. The company will invest 4 billion yen in the expansion and hopes to start operation by March 2014.
