Minami-kyushu Familymart debuted some new products to support a local fishery in Kagoshima. Production of buri and kampachi (Japanese amberjack or yellowtail) are facing hardships as international demand falls amidst the new coronavirus impact. To boost consumption of those local specialty fish, two rice balls (¥130 ea.) and a fish-ball soup (¥398) will be sold at 390 Familymart shops in Kagoshima and Miyazaki, in collaboration with the regional initiative of ‘Kagoshima Seafood Rescue.’ Source: Nikkei / 373 News / Family Mart
