More Trains Added to Fukuoka’s Congested Subway

The Fukuoka City Subway’s Nanakuma Line has made revisions to its schedule as of the 19th, aiming to reduce congestion. Following the extension of the Nanakuma Line to Hakata Station, there has been a significant increase in passengers, leading to crowding during the morning and evening rush hours. The new schedule, implemented on the 19th, adds two additional round trips during weekday mornings and four in the evenings. These changes will reduce the time between trains by 15 seconds in the morning and by one minute in the evening, further enhancing the commuting experience. The Fukuoka City Transportation Bureau continues to encourage residents and visitors to take advantage of the convenient and comfortable services provided by the Fukuoka City Subway.
