Mr. Donut Shop closes after 34 years
The Mr. Donut shop in Uomachi, Kokura which has served customers for 34 years is will close tomorrow, Nov 27. Mr. Donut debuted in Japan in 1971 and the Uomachi shop opened in 1978. The shop has been very popular with young people especially with it’s 24 hour service and because it served as a good landmark friends to meet up. The reason for the closure was not disclosed. (Editor: could this be the Kripsy Kreme effect?)
