Fukuoka City-based discount chain Mr. Max announced sales of 103.48 billion yen on its non-consolidated report for the year ended March 2010, a 7.2% increase. This was the company’s first year-on-year sales increase in two years, and a record high total. That helped to company get back in the black for the first time in two years, as it recorded a net profit of 891 million yen after a loss of 5.078 billion yen last year.
