Fukuoka-based discount store Mr. Max announced it will generate solar power by placing generators on the roofs of its stores. They will start the installation on their 14 stores in seven prefectures nationwide in November, and they expect to finish by next February. The installations will have an aggregate capacity of 9,000 kW, which the company will sell to the electric utilities.
