Ms. Kane Tanaka of Fukuoka City, Celebrated As World’s Oldest Living Person

At 118 years old, Ms. Kane Tanaka of Fukuoka City, is the world’s “Oldest Living Person” according to Guinness World Records. Earlier this week she was presented with a bouquet of flowers and other gifts to celebrate her longevity before “Respect for the Aged Day” on September 20th. Ms. Tanaka was born in 1903 and currently lives in an elderly care facility in Fukuoka City. According to the staff, she was happy to receive the flowers and card, and is living in good health. Ms. Tanaka has not been able to see her family due to the effects of the Coronavirus, but her goal is to live a healthy life until she is at least 120 years old. Source: NHK
