Nagasaki University to Pay for Two Years’ Worth of Overtime


The Nagasaki office of a government department responsible for the oversight of labor standards has issued a recommendation to Nagasaki University to reimburse employees for two years worth of uncompensated overtime work. These employees include teachers at an affiliated primary and junior high school, and doctors and nurses at an affiliated hospital. The aggregate total of the compensation runs to 73 million yen, and will be added to the employees’ wages for the month of October.
