Nagasaki University to Receive Funding for Research on COVID-19

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology has decided to aid of ¥50 million for new coronavirus research conducted by Nagasaki University and five other national universities. Amidst the expansions of COVID-19, there are urgent needs to discover quicker testing methods as well to find out factors that trigger severe illness. Koichi Morita, professor at the Institute of Tropical Medicine for Nagasaki University, will become the representative of the ten-researcher group. Source: Nagasaki University 02/20/2020
