Nakagawa-machi, Fukuoka, has come out on top in Kyushu in the ranking of the town with the most company presidents. Coming in it at #42 on the national list, Nakagawa’s appeal lies with its location- just a 10 minute shinkansen ride to Hakata, and the greenery surrounding the area. Second in Kyushu was Shime-machi, Fukuoka at #67 nationally. Its proximity to Fukuoka airport believed to have boosted its rating. In the ranking for the city or ward where the most company presidents reside, Kagoshima City came in at #15 to top the Kyushu area. Chuo-ward, Fukuoka City was ranked #54 and Minami-ward, Fukuoka City was ranked #60. 2.45 million companies in the country were polled by Tokyo Commerce and Industry Research.
