Sources have revealed an overview of the domestic terminal building to be re-built at Fukuoka Airport when the second runway is installed. With five stories above ground and two below, the terminal building will have a total floor area of 120,000 m2.(There will also be a six-story annex.) Approximately 30% more space will be allocated for restaurants and shops. Airline counters will be situated on the first floor, and the second floor will house a more convenient consolidated departure lobby.Construction is set to begin in April 2015.
